The postholder will be an active member of the research team assisting in the development and pre-clinical and industrial translation of novel drug delivery systems. To assist in the planning and delivery of this research activity so that the overall research objectives of the project are met.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
1. Applicants must have a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (Minimum standard 2.1)
2. Have, or about to obtain*, a PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics/ engineering (*must be obtained within 3 months of commencement of employment)
3. Experience of design and manufacture of drug delivery systems or medical devices
4. Significant recent relevant research experience
5. A record of publication in high quality, peer-reviewed, journals commensurate with experience

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
