The stories it shares with us are of changing tastes, survival against adversity, naval adventures on the high seas and family life.As a Welcome & Service Assistant you’ll be a key member of the small but motivated Melford Hall Visitor Welcome team, which is integral to the delivery of the visitor experience, working alongside paid staff and volunteers to set families up for an amazing experience. You’ll provide a fantastic welcome to visitors to the property, will take payment for admission whilst actively promoting National Trust membership. You will also be responsible for cashing up the till and following correct financial processes.Predominantly an outdoors role, you will assist with car parking, will loan out off-road powered mobility vehicles & will assist in driving the visitor shuttle. You will also be an active First Aider at Work (full training given). Actively involved with growing support, you’ll help to increase fundraising income in the second-hand bookshop and through sales of pin badges and guidebooks. You will also be part of delivering our programme of events throughout the season including our family activities and general visitor offer.
