Role Overview – Manufacturing Foundry Operator Based at our Swinton site and reporting to the Manufacturing Team Leader, you will be an integral part of our fast-paced and physically demanding foundry team. The role requires working long hours in a challenging environment, ensuring manufacturing procedures are carried out safely and efficiently to meet production targets within our magnesium unit. A keen eye for quality is essential to ensure that our products meet the highest standards. Key responsibilities include: Operating both semi-automated and fully automated melting and casting equipment. Safely handling molten metal. Monitoring production processes and recording data Taking responsibility for maintaining safety within production areas. Packing finished goods into containers for transport, including the use of Forklift Trucks (counterbalance). Conducting quality checks and analyses to ensure product standards. Assisting in identifying and resolving production challenges. The Package: 6-12month temporary contract. Salary range dependent on qualifications and shift pattern (£26,106 - £42,703) Generous holiday package. Company pension plan. Free on-site parking. Requirements – Manufacturing Foundry Operator: Demonstrable experience in an operator role within a heavy industrial foundry environment. Prior foundry experience is highly beneficial. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong safety awareness with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in IT A collaborative team player with a positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude toward work. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment with long working hours. A keen eye for quality and attention to detail in all aspects of production. An up to date Fork Lift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
