The Head of Healthcare Services Partnerships role is a full-time field role responsible for the leadership, development, and delivery of our Locally Commissioned Services revenue and profit. Grow our Locally Commissioned Services, as well as responsibility for key third party commercial relationships including Our Future Health (OFH).
You will focus on local services growth and the leadership of a national team of Healthcare Partnership Managers working locally with commissioners, stakeholders, and NHS Integrated Care Boards. To negotiate commercial and contractual terms enabling both profitable delivery of existing services and the launch of new profitable local services. The role also involves leading a Nottingham-based Commercial Contracts Team and Commercial Development Managers.
Working with internal and external stakeholders to improve patient experience and access to services and delivering profitable local services growth. A strong networker, and influencer, gathering insights, building strong relationships, creating new commercial opportunities, and catalysing growth.
About the role
You will lead field and Nottingham based teams and will report directly into the Director of Healthcare Services. Your key responsibilities will involve:
1. Establishing and maintaining key relationships with relevant internal and external senior stakeholders incl. NHS, Integrated Care Board (ICB's) leaders on behalf of the business at a National and ICB level.
2. Lead, develop and inspire a team of Healthcare Partnership Managers, contract team and commercial managers allowing them to deliver a market leading service for our customers, providing strategic direction by defining portfolio prioritization, according to external and internal opportunities.
3. Delivery of the in-year revenue and profit for Local Services and OFH, developing and setting 3-year goals and beyond as part of our wider ambitions for Pharmacy Growth.
4. Inspirational leadership of the Healthcare Services Partnerships team through clear accountabilities, performance leadership and development of talent.
5. Influencing the wider internal stakeholder matrix to create the enablers to deliver the Healthcare Business Unit strategy, with a laser focus on the key enablers for Healthcare Services Growth.
What you'll need to have
1. A Pharmacist with strong skills in commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
2. A brilliant networker, experienced at actively maintaining relationships.
3. Excellent track record in stakeholder management with ability to impact and influence senior-level individuals.
4. Creative and lateral thinking for capitalising on market opportunities.
5. Possessing a great knowledge of Pharmacy, healthcare and NHS structures and the political agenda and direction impacting pharmacy.
6. Enthusiasm to operate within a matrix and get work done through others; forming and disbanding diverse teams as appropriate to get things done in an effective and efficient manner.
7. Exceptional role-model, gifted in people management and development.
