As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial process from the administration to the management of Rail frameworks and Infrastructure contracts. You will drive efficiencies, manage costs, and take control of all financial aspects of projects and contractual compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and monitor project costs including weekly P&L reporting.
2. Review contract documents and advise on any issues.
3. Produce and review commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs), and Project Finance Reports.
4. Take responsibility for Subcontract Management; including Subcontract Forecasting, raising Subcontractor Orders, and Negotiating Subcontract terms.
5. Prepare subcontract documents, enquiries, and assessment of quotations.
6. Place subcontract orders, agreement and certification of subcontract valuations, invoice, subcontract payments, and final account agreements.
7. Be responsible for the management of the change control process, risk, and value management.
8. Manage and track project changes, variations, and/or notices.
9. Assess and value variations and compensation events.
10. Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications to clients, along with the agreement of final accounts.
11. Attend risk review, progress, and commercial meetings on-site with the Client.
12. Be actively involved with tenders and pricing.
Requirements:
1. Quantity Surveying degree desirable / certification or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years QS experience.
3. Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
4. Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Office including advanced Excel.
5. Sound knowledge of NEC contracts.
6. Previous experience in Rail is desirable.
