We have a 15 hour vacancy based at the Valentine Centre within our Estates and Facilities Directorate. Shifts are between 4pm and 7pm Monday to Friday.
As a Domestic Assistant, you will provide a comprehensive cleaning service for in-patient and community sites as assigned. Responsible for general cleaning duties that will be carried out in all areas including clinical, sanitary, and administration areas, in accordance with the cleaning schedule. The post holder will ensure that Infection Control, COSHH, and Health and Safety procedures are always followed.

Main duties of the job
1. To ensure the correct use of cleaning materials.
2. Ensure the correct use, cleaning and storage of cleaning equipment.
3. Ensure the correct storage of all cleaning and disposable items when issued.
4. Dispose of all categories of waste safely and in accordance with Trust guidelines and ensure that equipment is stored correctly.
5. Replenish all disposables, soaps, etc. as required.
6. Collect refuse and store at designated collection points.
7. Ensure the correct use of mechanical cleaning equipment including floor polisher.
8. Ensure own cleaning stock is maintained.
9. Complete cleaning schedules on a daily basis.
