Reporting to the Compound Stock Management (CSM) Supervisor, the individual will play a key role in controlling the CSM Team. They will assist in ensuring that all CSM operations are completed within the relevant lead times and fully comply with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) requirements. During busier periods they will be expected to support the CSM Supervisor by helping to manage all aspects of the business and have a hands-on approach in the completion of all tasks requested. Your key responsibilities will be: Communicate daily with the CSM Operatives and Supervisor and help manage the smooth running of the CSM operation. Offer a positive attitude to change and work toward improving and developing the processes, systems and practices currently in place. Promote a positive attitude to health and safety on site and raise any concerns as necessary. Ensure staff (including subcontractors) are wearing the correct PPE and uniform when working on site. Maintain discipline and ensure that the company site rules are adhered to. Ability to work independently and be assertive on enforcing decisions made. Attend any training courses as required by the company. Be active in the company’s environmental management system by using the recycling and waste management systems that are in place Assist in maintaining OEM stock maintenance for Fiat, Stellantis, MG, Suzuki and KGM. Ensure all vehicles are driven safely and parked to the standard as required by the customer. Assist in checking any vehicle queries whether they are made by the customer or another internal department and keep the lines of communication open as appropriate. Perform quality control checks at regular intervals to ensure the customer storage and maintenance standards are maintained at the highest level. Check and control the use of company property e.g. scanners, batteries, vehicles etc… Work with the CSM Supervisor and to ensure at adjustments are made to the IT systems so that it accurately reflects the work completed. Help to support the integration of ISO9001 and ISO14001 Ensure ISO and processes are regularly checked and updated To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: We are looking for a hardworking person who works well under pressure and is resourceful in their approach. Ability to ‘think on ones feet’ and under pressure is essential to this position. Good communication skills and an ability to clearly direct your team as work dictates Confident in working in a varied and dynamic environment.
