As Head of Strategic Change Approvals, you will be a subject matter expert on our agency governance and controls, providing appropriate advice and guidance that ensures that decisions made comply with the Green Book requirements for Managing Public Money. The impact of the decisions you make will be highly significant.
This exciting and varied role is critical within the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and the Finance and Assurance Services Directorate, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our transformation journey continues. Your role will provide you with a wide range of exposure across the agency and with external stakeholders such as Cabinet Office and Department for Transport.
You will manage a well-established, motivated, high-performing team of 8, with involvement in all aspects of governance and assurance, the team works well to maintain excellent standards and consistently meet deadlines. We are open to fresh ideas to drive performance standards even further while you continue to ensure compliance within existing controls and frameworks, balancing these with sound decisions.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
* Acting as subject matter expert for the Strategic Change Approvals Team to provide robust advice and guidance, Agency wide to ensure compliance with all aspects of Agency Change Governance in line with the Departmental Framework agreement and Cabinet Office Spend Controls for ICT.
* Maintaining and developing the SCA function by engaging, building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintaining and developing the Agency Strategic Change Pipeline in line with agreed Agency Governance.
