Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working with a leading Manufacturing client to recruit a Production Operative (Fabricator/ Welder) on a permanent basis in Seaham.
Summary
* We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Fabricator/ Welder) to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry.
* The Production Operative will work alongside the Fabrication Supervisor and the wider
* Working together to support daily production operations. In joining our team you will have the opportunity to develop your skill-set allowing you the opportunity to get involved in stimulating and exciting projects.
Key Duties
* Following part set up sheets.
* Daily use of jigs / templates along with basic fabrication knowledge.
* Knowledge and experience with basic plating and assembly tacking procedures.
* Significant experience with MIG welding process.
* Using hand tools such as pin grinders/ angle grinders.
* Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/ production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
* Documentation completion.
* Manual handling tasks.
* Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings.
* Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards.
* Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
* Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
* Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager. However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill-set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capabilities.
Qualifications/Skills
Previous experience in fabricating or welding is essential.
Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector would be beneficial but not essential. Previous experience operating handheld tools would be beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
Employees are also given full training once they commence employment and further training and development opportunities are also available throughout employment.
