This temporary (4 month) post will be based within the Information and Support Team, reporting in directly to the Pathway Manager and managing the team of coordinators. About the Role The main duties of the post are as below: To support the Inclusion Service Pathway Manager in promoting and securing inclusive educational solutions with regards to children and young people who may otherwise be at risk of requiring specialist provision outside of Local Authority specialist provision. To manage the team of Inclusion Service Information and Support Coordinators, including training as required and oversight of cases for CMN, CME, EHE and NEET. To work with schools and other agencies to raise awareness of the statutory duties regarding children who are not attending or not educated in school. To assist with the transition process back into education through case oversight or active service work To provide advice and sign posting as required, providing support to coordinators when calls become challenging and support/take on complex cases that come through the duty line or referrals. To provide advice and support to parents, schools and services with regards to education inclusion To play an active part in the Service’s improvement journey by organising QA activities for the Information and Support Coordinators. About You To apply for this post, you must have : Previous experience of working in a similar service/environment Experience of accurately capturing, storing & retrieving information to meet organisational and customer needs Knowledge of legislation & guidance relating to children not attending/educated in school Ability to work effectively as a team lead with dynamic, enthusiastic and harmonious approach Ability to support others to prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
