Key responsibilities: Accountable for the hospital's commercial performance and overseeing daily business operations. Leads the Senior Management Team (SMT), monitoring quality performance indicators (QPIs) and driving improvements. Collaborates with the Managing Director on clinical risk management and ensures service targets are met for revenue, EBITDA, and quality standards. Uses management information to identify underperformance and implements action plans for improvement. Actively involved in the budget-setting process alongside the finance manager. Promotes a culture of safety, quality, and excellent patient care, leading improvements and innovation in service delivery. Ensures compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and addresses CQC recommendations and safeguarding complaints. Manages and responds to resident complaints promptly and develops strategic external relationships. Establishes recruitment, retention, and succession plans to meet staffing needs and reduce turnover. Oversees Health & Safety, Clinical Governance, confidentiality, and security of service user records, and participates in on-call duties.
