Care Assistant Position Details: Position: Healthcare Assistant Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour Location: Haverfordwest Hours per Week: Permanent, full time Shifts: Days or nights available, 8am-8pm/8pm-8am About the nursing home: Xealthcare are currently recruiting for passionate care assistants on behalf of our highly regarded care provider to join their beautiful nursing home, located in an easily commutable area within Haverfordwest, with great public transport links. Our client is offering permanent, full-time contracts to cover either day or nights shifts. Our client’s large home offers nursing and residential care, as well as respite care for elderly residents living with dementia and other mental health diagnoses. The well-established care assistants are trained to deliver the best possible care. Following their most recent CQC inspection the residential care home has been rated ‘GOOD’. Position: Healthcare Assistant As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client’s residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. Key Responsibilities: Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility. Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. Requirements: No requirement of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, but it would be beneficial. Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred. Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
