Business Development Manager
Location: South West, ideally Somerset or commutable.
Basic Salary: Up to £45k depending on experience.
The Client: A UK-based manufacturer and supplier of high-end mobility scooter and wheelchair accessories, established for over 30 years.
The Job:
You will be responsible for heading up the sales for the business as they continue to grow. Your focus will be on growing the portfolio of products within mobility retailers, scooter/wheelchair manufacturers, and other potential markets. This includes canopies for motorcycle storage and other usages where accessories can be sold both B2B and to end users. You will proactively seek opportunities to grow the business, working closely with the Director to provide feedback on alternative ways to utilize the manufacturing center to create new products and revenue streams. This will involve contacting leads and existing customers to determine what other accessories would interest them. Current products include canopies to protect mobility scooters and wheelchairs from rain or bad weather, along with garages for storage and made-to-measure carry-on bags.
The Ideal Candidate:
You will have B2B business development experience, a creative approach to finding new routes to market for custom-made canopies, and a strong sense of initiative to help open new doors. You should consistently seek ways to grow the company and its products. Being based in the South West, ideally commutable to Somerset, is preferred.
The Salary:
Base salary of £40k-£45k + commission, company van, pension, and 28 days holiday.
