Main duties of the job
Thames Ward cares for adiverse group of high-risk, high-need service users transferred from prison,secure hospitals, and general adult wards. It works closely with the admissionward on site to manage acute referrals into the forensic pathway. Thames Wardfunctions as a high-dependency ward, for those not requiring intensive care butalso not ready for longer-term rehabilitation. As such it offers opportunityfor both psychological assessment and intervention, in both individual andgroup modalities.

Job responsibilities
You'll find solutions to solve everyday problems for patients such as:
1. Providing, highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions to support patients needs.
2. Efficiently managing a caseload to formulate and implement strategies to meet your patients goals.
3. Working within or alongside a multi-disciplinary team to effectively assess and intervene with your patients psychological needs.
4. Mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students

5. Experience of working as a qualified specialist clinical psychologist for a minimum of one year

6. Degree in Psychology & Post-Graduate Doctorate
7. HCPC Registration
8. Relevant specialist training in the skills required for the specialty area
