The Role
It is essential that candidates are a fully qualified Advanced Mental Health Professional, and this is not negotiable. The fully qualified AMHP will provide leadership and operational management within core areas of responsibility (care home, counselling and mental health services), working closely with managers to build a high-performance culture, ensuring our people are trained, accredited, and fit to practice in their fields. Strong focus will also be on quality, continuous improvement, safety, and effectiveness by applying the evidence base, new ways of working, and best practice principles.
Please note that this role will require a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Tasks:
Management & Leadership
· Work with the senior leadership team and board of trustees on development and delivery of strategy and business plans
· Support and develop line managers, motivating them to reach their full potential
· Participate in all aspects of people management including appraisals/121s, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, absence management, and performance management with the support of the HR department
· Attending board and committee meetings, preparing necessary reports and analysis
· Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of mental health policy and reflecting changes as necessary
· Contributing to the development of a governance strategy
· Embedding KPG’s clinical framework, defining quality standards for services and supporting operations to deliver safe, effective and well led health and wellbeing services
· Responsible for setting the annual clinical governance schedule of work and leading on relevant workstreams
Quality & Performance Management
· CQC nominated individual and designated Safeguarding Officer
· Safeguarding processes and audits including safeguarding supervision/training where required
· Compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations across all services including CQC and BACP
· Negotiate service level agreements, ensuring effective and fair monitoring/evaluation including putting systems in place to record and report performance to commissioners/funders and other key stakeholders
· Develop and review clinical related policies and procedures in line with best practice
Governance & Risk
· Promote a culture of responsibility relating to governance and risk management, aligning to a competency framework
· Work with operational managers to lead the implementation of programmes of change to improve clinical care and therapeutic interventions
· Be responsible where appropriate for the delegation and review of work plans
· Lead the development and implementation of effective systems and controls to evidence and manage clinical governance and provide quality assurance
· Prepare quality and audit reports including independent analysis
· Contribute to the development and review of standard operating procedures led by operations and ensure clinical policies and pathways are embedded within practice
General
· Develop excellent working relationships and with stakeholders including staff, service users, commissioners, funders, and partners
· Support fundraising with the completion of applications which require clinical/operational knowledge
· Support departments with their annual budgets and monitor expenditure in line with budgets
· Provide out of hours ‘on call’ support as part of a rota to support our key services
Experience, Qualifications & Training Requirements
* Fully qualified AMHP
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
