The team Shepherd and Wedderburn are currently recruiting for a Content Writer to join their team based in Edinburgh on a temporary basis (6 months). The successful candidate will manage the process to audit, rewrite and review our website and work-winning content covering areas such as About the firm, Our services, Our sectors, Careers and ESG to ensure it is consistent with the firm’s tone of voice, stands out against competitors, resonates with target audiences, and builds trust in the firm. The role The role will include: Auditing existing materials Managing the process to collate information to create revised web and work-winning content Working closely with subject matter experts across the firm to rewrite existing and create new content to better reflect our brand and create consistency. Managing the process to audit and rewrite our lawyer biographies for both web and work-winning purposes. Person Specification Familiarity with the professional services industry, coupled with a general business aptitude, would be considered a strong asset. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally with multiple teams. Highly professional, able to work to the exacting standards required in a leading professional services environment. Methodical and organised approach to work, with excellent attention to detail. Candidate Requirements Degree or equivalent professional qualification. Proven experience as a copywriter, ideally within a corporate environment. Experience working with style guides. Strong understanding of SEO principles, with a track record of writing SEO-friendly content. Impeccable attention to detail, delivering grammatically flawless, polished copy under tight deadlines. Desirable Experience Project management experience.
