Location: University of Warwick Campus, Coventry
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the formation of a cross-departmental team of interdisciplinary scientists working on ‘cellular interfaces’. This excellence cluster expands, diversifies, and leverages the activities of the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell Biology (CMCB), a pre-eminent centre in the UK that researches the roles of molecular motors and mechanics in cell and developmental biology (https://mechanochemistry.org/). The cellular interfaces cluster is led by Professor Satyajit Mayor, a world-leading researcher who has made fundamental contributions towards our understanding of how the cell membrane is organised at a nanometer scale and how this impacts cell and tissue scale biology.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You

1. Conduct groundbreaking research in the field
2. Publish in prestigious journals and secure external research fellowships and/or grants
3. Develop and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching related to Cell Surface Dynamics
4. Mentor and guide students in their academic and research endeavours
5. Contribute to the wider activities of the department
6. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the growth of the cross-departmental excellence cluster
