An opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Principal Public Health Engineer to join our leading Engineering Consultancy, operating within our Southeast cost centre. The role can be based in our Bournemouth or Reading Offices.

The role:
As part of one of our specialist areas of expertise within the mechanical discipline, you will provide detailed, coordinated, and cost-efficient public health design advice to our varied client list. This will mean tailoring a comprehensive service of specifications, calculations, and reports. Specifically, you will produce designs for above ground foul/wastewater drainage systems, greywater systems and rainwater and roof drainage designs to current standards, to budget, and within deadline.
Your duties will see you working across all projects and sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, residential and commercial, so you will always be challenged and stimulated to make the most of your skills.
The candidate will be required to work with minimal supervision and within a core team of 5 of various levels of experience. You will be responsible for your own individual projects, including the programming and cost control, reporting to project leads as required, and assist with the quality assurance of others work and where required the knowledge upskilling of others.
In this role the ability to utilise 2D and 3D drafting methods and coordination tools and ability to react to and manage efficiently multiple tasks and tight deadlines is essential.
What we are looking for:
* Experience in the design of public health systems.
* Understanding of all drainage services including those outlined above. Understanding of domestic water services is advantageous but not necessary.
* Able to produce calculations, reports, and specifications with good written communication skills.
* Attendance at DTMs and client meetings.
* Proficient in CAD and Revit.
* Conversant with relevant British Standards.
* Good communication and time management abilities.
* Contribute to development of others in PH design.
* Good teamworking and superior abilities.
