Long-term teachers are working with a specialist school based in Trowbridge. The school is seeking an enthusiastic, qualified teacher to join them on a part-time, permanent basis.
* Plan and teach high-quality lessons to support pupils in making good or outstanding progress and to embed key concepts in their long-term memory.
* Set clear targets for pupils’ learning, building on prior attainment and considering each pupil as an individual.
* Have regard to, and plan to meet, the special educational needs of pupils.
* Develop, or rapidly acquire, expert knowledge in the subject(s) taught.
* Enable all pupils to understand key concepts, effectively check understanding, and correct misunderstandings.
* Assess pupil work and progress, provide regular feedback, and use this to inform your teaching.
* Prioritise reading to develop pupils’ fluency, confidence, and enjoyment.
* Develop subject-specific schemes of work for all year groups that are coherently planned and sequenced towards cumulative knowledge and meaningful accreditation, as appropriate.
* Build all learning towards an end point that leads into the next stage of education, training, or employment.
* Report on pupil progress in line with school policy.
* Maintain a stimulating, engaging, and safe learning environment that allows pupils to focus on learning.
* Manage behaviour positively in line with school policy.
* Undertake a pastoral and support role as required.
* Attend school events as required.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including routines, paperwork, and duties.
* Take responsibility for your own professional development and engage with performance management activities.

* QTS
* Evidence of recent successful teaching responsibility in Maths
* Understanding of Special Education needs
* Flexible and approachable
* Able to establish and develop good relationships with all involved in the school
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
* Ability to drive and access to own car
