Who you are You will be technically proficient, ideally qualified to NVQ3 level or have clear evidence of proficiency. You will be confident in lift controller fault finding and have a strong grasp of the key component parts of lift operations, including VVF drives, door operators and control boards. You will be keen to progress (opportunities exist to obtain NVQ4 qualifications) and you will be prepared to travel to where the work is.
Key Responsibilities • Overseeing and managing on-site installations in a safe and efficient way • Undertaking technical site surveys for diagnosis and repair • Liaising with sub-contractors and ensuring the quality of their work, as well as compliance with Health & Safety policies • Conducting on-site surveys and liaising with customers in order to agree works undertaken • Managing controller and rewiring modernisation projects • Replacing door operators • Adapting and replacing lift drives • Assisting in the construction of control panels, top of car controls, car operating panels in our workshop etc. • Provision of regular status reports and essential administration • Working alongside our Technical Director and Engineer(s) as required
Key Skills As well as being technically proficient, you will have excellent planning and organisational skills, will be confident with customers at all levels and be able to represent Taylor Lifts at external meetings. You will have a can-do attitude and are equally happy working in a team as you are under your own steam
