Job Purpose:
As anEngineering Team Leader, you will play a key role inleading and guidingthe engineering shift team, ensuringall maintenance and engineering activitiesare completedon time and in full. You'll be hands-on, attendingbreakdowns and planned works, while also ensuringseamless communicationbetween shifts through structuredhandover meetings and reports. Your leadership will driveefficiency, safety, and continuous improvementwithin the team.
?? Key Responsibilities:
Lead from the front, attending breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance.
Oversee andguide a team of 4 engineersto deliver daily work plans.
Participate inengineering handover meetingsat the beginning and end of each shift.
Create and send detailed shift handover reportsto ensure clear communication.
Ensure all engineering activities are logged accurately inShire CMMS .
Manage spare parts usage-ensuring they arebooked out correctlyand ordering replacements where necessary.
Identify and implementopportunities for performance improvementacross the plant.
Communicate effectively withsite operations teams, keeping them informed of engineering activities and expected timeframes.

?? Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
??Approved Engineering Apprenticeship
??Electrical Qualification (Minimum NVQ Level 3)
??5+ years of experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment
??Strong health & safety awareness (IOSH preferred)
??Leadership training or hands-on supervisory experience
??Proficiency in Excel & Wordfor reporting and documentation
??Experience using CMMS systems (e.g., Shire) for asset management
??Proactive mindset with a strong drive to always 'do the right thing'
