Estates and Campus Services is responsible for the security of the physical assets, staff, students and visitors of the University. Purpose of Role The Head of Precinct Services (Security, Cleaning,Mail Room, Parking) will have a security bias, however, the role holder will be challenged to manage across a diverse team delivering a safe, clean environment for staff and students. Key Duties and Responsibilities Within a changing environment report to the Deputy Director of Estates & Campus Services and other senior University managers providing expert advice to ensure the security of the institution, its physical assets and its people. Effectively and efficiently co-ordinate and monitor all aspects of the operational and strategic delivery of security, cleaning, mail room and parking services for the University of Dundee with continuous improvement review to achieve optimum performance and full customer engagement. Responsible for the development of a service charter and service level agreements. Maintain professional working relationships with Schools and Professional Services staff, students, general public, contractors, Police officers and other emergency service personnel. Ensure all services are delivered within agreed budgets and service levels. Person Specification A solid background in managing diverse teams. Evidence of decision making skills in critical situations. Ability to plan and organise resources. Have experience in conducting audits and undertaking risk assessments. Good understanding of Statutory Compliance.
