The Role:
In this role, you will work one-on-one or with small groups of students, helping them with both academic and social-emotional development. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Individualised Support: Tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each student and developing personalised learning strategies to help them access the curriculum.
2. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assessing student progress, providing feedback to parents and teachers, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
3. Emotional Support: Offering emotional guidance and creating a safe, nurturing environment that allows students to feel confident and supported in their learning.
4. Communication: Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s education, ensuring that everyone is aligned in supporting the student’s success.
5. Inclusion: Promoting inclusivity in the school community, encouraging students to feel a sense of belonging and actively contributing to their education.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience as a Peripatetic Tutor or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work in different educational settings.
• Experience in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is advantageous.
