Very excitingly, EMEAA has recently purchased a fantastic new production facility in Wisconsin USA, Octopi Beverages. This marks a key step forward in accelerating our growth journey and realizing our ambitions for our Global Brands, most notably Asahi Super Dry for North America.
Your Role & Contributions
The Finance Business Partner will work as part of the EMEAA Finance team and will provide financial support to a group of our markets in the Nordics (Sweden, Norway & Finland). This includes reporting, analysing and understanding financial performance in these markets and generating insights from the performance to support the decision-making process. Additionally, you will analyse levels of investment and sku/brand portfolio to deliver maximum growth and profitability. This involves working closely with the Commercial Sales team to challenge and support strategic plans.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Month End Reporting:
* First point of contact for all financial issues in the selected region/country, manage stakeholders to mobilise financial funds / tools for growing the region.
* Develop an understanding of the drivers and trends behind business performance across all markets to generate insights through analysis of numbers.
* Preparation and analysis of monthly market performance, both financial and commercial drivers, to explain financial results and variances vs forecast.
* Preparation and analysis of monthly LE (latest estimate), including updating R&O, also proposing recommendations for mitigation of risks.
* Preparation of Budget +2, mid-year reforecasts (PF2,) and 3-year plan for business units
* Monitoring, reporting, and analysing the marketing investment plans across each market, including proposing areas for review and supporting sales in post-activity reviews of actual spend.
Commercial Support:
* Understand value chain in various markets and the risks and opportunities to the business performance.
* Supporting the Profitable Revenue Growth management agenda through market and brand data in selected countries and analysis and evaluation of the plan, budget, and forecast, ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights and constructive challenge.
* Scenario analysis and developing business models for any market changes, including creating business cases for new product innovations.
* Responsibility for running the EMEAA Investment Committee.
* Manage and evolve the loan investment in outlets process, including providing financial support for new proposals from the local sales team.
* Provide analysis and financial performance review of loans currently in place with recommendations to improve performance vs original business case. Liaise with sales and credit control team to ensure loans are being repaid in a timely manner.
* Provides the sales team with strong financial support.
* Support strategic projects related to Nordic markets.
* Support financial requirements for the branch market, including providing financial governance & guidance to ensure correct accounting processes & procedures are followed.
* Work with Supply Chain team to understand stock movements in warehouse, ensuring appropriate provisions are made for aging stock, and supporting commercial team to sell through.
* Support preparation and analysis of inputs into NWC calculation related to Sweden.
* Provide support to external auditors as required.
Other:
* Seek continuous improvement in ways of working and align best practice across the finance team. Proactively work with peers to identify and implement efficiencies.
* Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required to meet the needs of the business.
What You Bring To The Table
* A qualified accountant with a solid background in finance.
* Strong analytical capabilities and excellent attention to detail are essential.
* A high degree of computer literacy & modelling.
* Experience of working with large volumes of data and producing clear summary outputs to be used by management to support the decision-making process.
* Strong system skills, particularly experience of SAP B1 and HFM and other reporting tools.
* Previous FMCG experience is advantageous.
