GES are currently recruiting for an Event Space Planner to join their team based at the NEC near Birmingham.
You would be responsible for the project management of multiple clients’ technical drawing requirements, transforming briefs into technical drawings, ensuring proactive management of service levels and client expectations.

What will you do?
You will:
1. Proactively manage client floorplans from inception through to completion, taking instructions both verbally/written from clients and account managers.
2. Be able to organise/manage time and give realistic turnaround times of when work will be completed.
3. Transform drawing briefs and sketches into electronic drawings.
4. Liaise with venues to ensure the latest rules & regulations are known & implemented by the team.
5. Must be fully competent in AutoCAD.
6. Manage AutoCAD block library.
7. Provide clear accurate advice on venue regulations.
8. Visit sites on a regular basis to ensure venue knowledge is accurate and develop relationships with venue teams.
9. Manage new & existing venue master template files and work within a team to ensure consistency of drawing library.
10. Manage the control & distribution of drawings internally & externally.
11. Manage mark out dates & drawing requirements.
12. Manage time spent on each plan based on allocated FOC amount per plan.
13. Ensure each floorplan and additional work is invoiced accordingly.
14. Ensure floorplans are registered on CRM via Event Management.
15. Produce bill of material plans/figures when requested. (Clarity system)
16. Promote additional services to clients.
17. Promote fresh, innovative thinking towards client solutions.
18. Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted to your line manager.
19. Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company.
20. Take a participative role in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure where possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and replenish.
21. Ensure compliance with all health and safety, corporate, client and legislative standards across the function.
