Interim Warehouse Manager

This interim role will suit someone with a strong background in in-house warehouse management and inventory control in fast-paced environments. A background in FMCG or food manufacturing would be ideal to drive the change required.
What will the role involve?
1. Heading up the Warehouse function, working closely with the Supply Chain teams.
2. Review processes and procedures to drive improvements in the end-to-end process.
3. Draw on previous management and leadership background to deliver a change in behaviours.
4. Ensure the new procedures are clearly set out, followed, and are truly embedded in the team.
5. Upskill the current team ensuring cross-functional skills are developed.
6. Ensure the warehouse and inventory team are engaged in the change process and fully understand the key principles involved in raising standards, maximising efficiencies, and customer service at all times.
This is the perfect interim role for a logistics specialist who knows how to engage and motivate teams, encouraging accountability and finding that key to unlock a change in behaviours.
In terms of background, the ideal candidate will have:
1. A strong warehouse/inventory management background - FMCG or food industry background essential.
2. Examples of driving improvements and delivering change in complex and fast-paced environments.
3. Developed individuals and grown strong teams, truly able to identify and grow skills internally providing stability and guidance.
4. Experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems.
5. Significant experience at managerial level in a pick and pack environment.
6. A confident, professional manner. A leader of teams, able to set the standards and develop a positive culture around accountability and ownership.
