From leading-edge arts and media facilities to major new student residential developments, our projects span a wide range of sectors, providing variety and opportunities for professional development. Job roles: Leading and managing electrical design projects across a variety of sectors including residential, education, justice, and laboratory sectors. • Collaborating with other disciplines, particularly mechanical engineering, to ensure seamless project delivery. • Preparing and managing fee proposals, working closely with clients, and representing our client in meetings. • Coordinating with the wider team, managing workload, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently. • Providing leadership within the team, particularly for less experienced engineers and graduates, helping to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. • Designing electrical services from Stage 2 to Stage 6, including detailed designs, specifications, and calculation Engaging with clients, attending site visits, and providing technical advice as required. • Working on a variety of projects, including small to medium-sized schemes, as well as larger-scale residential and commercial projects. Requirments: To thrive in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-4 years' experience in electrical design engineering (5-6 years for a senior position). You will have experience in delivering electrical designs across multiple stages of a project, as well as managing client relationships and contributing to the growth of the team. Key qualifications and experience: • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. • Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector, across a range of project types. • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong communication skills. • Experience using design software such as REVIT (familiarity with MagiCAD is a plus). • Understanding of project management, including coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects. • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and provide leadership in project delivery. • Ideally, you will be working towards Chartered Engineer status or have an interest in achieving this. • Strong organisational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
