About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team in the Finance & Governance Division based in Geelong. As our newest Payroll Administrator, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering accurate, efficient, and timely payroll activities to our employees.
Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you’ll assist in processing the fortnightly pay-runs and updating employee records. You will use a systems thinking approach to see the bigger picture, understanding how payroll connects to the broader financial ecosystem of the TAC.
This role requires you to collaborate closely with People, Culture and Engagement to ensure seamless internal processes, proactively addressing queries with empathy and insight to support our workforce. You will also maintain up-to-date payroll documentation, process new hires in Aurion, and handle ad-hoc tasks like Work Cover payments or Prior Service.

What we’re looking for
* Payroll Experience
Demonstrated experience in using payroll software and assisting with periodic pay run processing is essential, along with intermediate Excel skills to extract and manipulate data for reporting. Familiarity with Aurion payroll software is highly advantageous.
* Attention to Detail
Excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy is required to ensure employee records, payments and processes are up to date and accurate at all times.
* Communication and Confidentiality
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, combined with an ability to handle sensitive information discreetly are essential whilst responding to employee queries promptly and professionally.
