We're seeking an Internal Communications Officer who will play a pivotal role in enhancing employee engagement and fostering a cohesive company culture across our global publishing business. You'll work closely with stakeholders around the business and use your creative flair to develop engaging events and initiatives for our colleagues around the world, with a particular focus on our Macmillan Education business and our UK offices. Using your strong communication skills, you'll manage multiple channels including newsletters, emails, Microsoft Teams, videos and our company intranet. This role involves occasional travel to our offices around the globe. This role is based in our office in the thriving London King's Cross area (hybrid working model). Role Responsibilities Develop and implement creative engagement strategies that bring our employer brand to life and can be effectively adapted and deployed for our colleagues locally across 100 offices and 40 countries. Partner with local office leaders to identify communication needs and tailor initiatives that resonate with their specific teams and cultures. Partner with the Macmillan Education team and other teams around the business as required to provide key communications support. Take a storytelling approach to help bring our employer brand to life internally and externally through video, blog posts and other media. Draft engaging communications materials, including newsletters, announcements and intranet content, to inform and engage employees. Organise and deliver employee comms events - town halls, social events, virtual meetings etc. Measure and assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and continuously improve communication strategies. Experience, Skills & Qualifications Essential Demonstrable experience in communications, events or employee engagement, preferably within a global organisation. Communication Skills - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and engaging content creation. Project Management - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Stakeholder Management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels across regional/global geographies. Creative thinking - The ability to think outside the box and come up with fresh ideas. Enjoys brainstorming and collaborating with others to solve problems and create exciting solutions. Able to turn creative concepts into practical plans that get results.
