Supported by HIE’s Graduate Placement Programme, Nigg Skills Academy is looking for someone to support their future marketing strategy, systems, and course(s) delivery. This one-year placement requires the applicant to have graduated within the last four years, at NHC level or above.
Nigg Skills Academy is a “not for profit” company established in 2012 to address the skills shortages in particularly fabrication and welding. The Academy also delivers short courses to meet the needs of employers and the industry and provide individuals with the skills and qualifications to provide them with good quality employment opportunities.
The recent success of the Opportunity Cromarty Firth, Green Free Port bid is going to provide further opportunities and work where a skilled and well qualified workforce will be necessary. Nigg Skills Academy is seen as an important Training Provider to support both employers and the wider energy industries to meet future training demands. Nigg Skills Academy must be prepared to meet those demands with the right training provision.
The Academy is therefore looking to add value to its current training portfolio and is offering this position to someone who is looking for an opportunity to support the Academy in its strategy for adding value to its current course(s) portfolio. There is a need for the correct IT systems and back-office support to be in place to allow for efficient and smooth operating systems to ensure the experience for both participants and instructors meets high quality standards.
The applicant will have the education and skills to fulfil the objectives of the Academy in our course’s delivery and back-office support structures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a friendly and focused team to enhance and bring in new business through efficiency in IT systems and a willingness to become a key member of our team where new ideas are encouraged and welcomed.
The position is based at the Academy facility in the Port of Nigg and is a 35-hour working week. Shared transportation is available leaving from Inverness and a driving licence would be desirable, but not essential.
The position will be on a fixed term one year contract and attract an annual salary of up to £23,500 available to the successful applicant.
Interested parties can, in the first instance, send in their CV and cover letter to ali.kennedy@niggskillsacademy.com and for those applying to be given further consideration, an early interview will follow. More information on the Academy can be found on the website www.niggskillsacademy.com
