ou will have the ability
and agency
to advise, steer, and influence decisions at the centre of DWP's digital transformation. You will govern solution designs, approving architecture decisions and technology choices. You will share your data domain knowledge and experience to drive IT strategy, including defining the tools and techniques most
appropriate for
the environment. You will de
liver and promote architecture patterns and solutions for the data domain

Support

the delivery of a data technology roadmap.
Understand
ing
industry trends and research in the data domain.
Support
ing
the
data design elements of solutions.
Assist
in defining the strategic IT data architecture.
You will have n
o line management responsibilities.
You will work closely with our
Lead Data Domain Architect.
You will need the skills to: Govern architecture design of business-critical IT projects/services in a large, complex UK central government or private sector organisation.
Develop data strategies, blueprints, reference architectures, and design patterns.
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Understand database design, technologies, design patterns, tools, and best practices (including RDBMS, NoSQL, and Open Source).
Work with public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, and best practices.
