Job Purpose
Working within the motive power battery division of the business, the field service technician will cover a defined regional area repairing and maintaining batteries, chargers and auxiliary equipment associated with the product performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Charger repairs – fault analysis and repair of 50 Hz and Hf Chargers
Battery repairs – Fault analysis and repair of batteries
Auxiliary Equipment - Maintenance and repair of management systems/BFS systems and other associated equipment
Admin – Complete and submit all necessary report and paperwork comprehensively and in a timely manner
Qualifications
Must have a City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Must have a clean driving license
Mechanical qualifications preferable
Knowledge / Experience
Knowledge of batteries and chargers for the motive power industry desirable but not essential
Three phase electrical systems troubleshooting and knowledge of electrical systems design
Experience in reading and updating electrical and controls schematics and documentation, SOP’s and VSOP’s
Working knowledge of high voltage distribution
Must be willing to travel
