As Senior Estimator you will ensure highly competitive, carefully resourced, analysed tender costs and prepare quality submissions to clients.
Key Responsibilities from preconstruction through to contract award include:
Tender
1. Ensure tenders are submitted on time and are complete.
2. Study tender documentation and information provided.
3. Identify client requirements and develop the best offering to meet them..
4. Maintain a register of key assumptions within the estimate.
5. Evaluate the programme requirements, developing methods of construction and
6. suitable techniques to enable efficient, cost-effective resource levels to win bids.
7. Calculate the net costs of a tender from first principles.
8. Identify temporary works and design requirements.
9. Prepare estimating adjudication pack.
10. Close out actions and monitor customer negotiations, seeking amended authority as
11. required.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record working on tenders between £15m - £100m in value.
12. Be commercially aware of the construction industry and strong understanding of construction processes.
13. Experience in cost planning/ two stage tenders as well as single stage D&B tendering.
14. Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes.
15. Knowledge of Conquest and Bluebeam would be desirable
