Job Description
ICR is looking for a highly skilled Composites Engineering Specialist to join their team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include performing generic composite repair design calculations, creating engineering designs and CAD drawings for pipework, pipelines, and structural components, discussing design calculations inputs and outputs with external clients, and leading research and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Timely and concise responses to technical queries raised by other personnel, timely delivery of new and existing product development ensuring compliance with relevant specifications and within agreed budget, accurate and complete reporting on investigations, including Research and Development, strategic initiatives, and Non-Conformances.
Requirements
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline, previous composite experience in research and development projects, including project planning, conversing with potential suppliers, specimen manufacture and testing, knowledge of composite materials and the different processes involved in their use, previous experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and CAD/Drawing packages, excellent communication and organisation skills, ability to problem-solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external clients, presentation skills for internal and external clients, strong report writing skills, self-starter that takes a collaborative approach and really enjoys working as part of a team, ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload, sets high standards in quality of work and excellent attention to detail.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
