Regional Discipline Leads – Engineering (Design, Civil, EICA, Process, Mechanical)

Finlay Jude are supporting a long term client in recruiting for multiple Regional Discipline Leads across Design, Civil, EICA, Process, and Mechanical Engineering to drive excellence in the relocation of the Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant (CWWTPRP)—a flagship initiative redefining water and wastewater infrastructure.
The Opportunity
As a Regional Discipline Lead, you will be at the forefront of engineering innovation, overseeing the design, development, and delivery of critical elements within this transformative project. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure technical excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and technical leadership across your discipline, ensuring best-in-class engineering solutions.
* Drive health & safety excellence, ensuring all designs and project phases adhere to regulatory and environmental standards.
* Manage project design and execution, optimising resources, budgets, and timelines while ensuring quality and performance.
* Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, working closely with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies.
* Champion innovation and sustainability, integrating cutting-edge engineering solutions to reduce environmental impact.
* Ensure effective risk management and compliance, aligning all workstreams with Anglian Water’s strategic objectives.
What a Successful Candidate Would Need:
* Proven leadership experience in Design, Civil, EICA, Process, or Mechanical Engineering within large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent experience) with a strong technical and commercial acumen.
* Extensive knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure development.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, with a track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations, health & safety governance, and project lifecycle management.
* Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, driving alignment across disciplines.
