Role Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing mechanical systems for complex projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions. This position offers the flexibility to work three days in the office and two days remotely, providing the perfect balance between collaboration and independent focus.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead mechanical design projects, from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
2. Collaborate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders to develop tailored engineering solutions.
3. Produce high-quality designs for HVAC, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
5. Oversee junior engineers and provide mentorship and technical guidance.
6. Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to support project delivery.
7. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
What They're Looking For:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (Chartered status is desirable).
2. Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services sector.
3. Strong proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and simulation software.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
5. In-depth knowledge of industry standards, energy regulations, and sustainability practices.
