This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and visionary leader to support a dedicated team of professionals where you'll play a crucial role in shaping and delivering high-quality psychological services across the county. What we are looking for… Collaborate with senior managers and the Head of Service to develop a progressive and inclusive approach to special educational needs. Lead and manage developmental projects addressing service priorities. Provide effective management of the Educational Psychology teams to ensure optimal outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs. Develop and maintain a service offer based on specialist knowledge of child development and psychology. Support the council in fulfilling its statutory duties related to children and young people with special educational needs. Develop the Educational Psychology traded services offer to schools and other providers. Ensure all staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver a high-quality service. About you… Professional post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology. HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist. Evidence of continuous professional development. Proven experience in managing an Educational Psychology service or elements of a service. Strong leadership skills with a track record of delivering functional improvements. Excellent knowledge of factors leading to improved outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
