An established law firm in Southampton is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Court of Protection team. This opportunity offers a stimulating role for individuals passionate about Mental Capacity law and seeking career growth in a firm that values both expertise and progression.
Joining this team, you will handle a varied Court of Protection caseload, focusing on managing clients' property and financial matters, especially for those with brain injuries or vulnerabilities. You will also provide expertise on trust management, tax, statutory wills, and legal requirements under the Mental Capacity Act, putting the clients' needs at the centre of everything you do.
The Ideal Candidate:
The role requires:
1. Proven experience in Court of Protection matters, including direct case management and court proceedings.
2. Background in working with clients who have received personal injury or clinical negligence damages and may have complex needs.
3. Excellent drafting and communication abilities to effectively support clients, families, and colleagues.
