Employer's Name: Willowbank Holiday Home and Touring Park
Location: Merseyside
Willowbank Holiday Park is a peaceful, tree-lined park located near Southport and Formby in the North West, just moments from the stunning Sefton coastline. Our postcode is PR8 3ST.
We are seeking a friendly part-time Seasonal Receptionist and Warden to join our team during the main holiday season from March to September.
It’s a total of 32.5 hours a week: 3 days a week (Fri, Sat, Sun 8.30am-5pm; 25.5 hours) plus call outs after 5pm on Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday evenings and alternate Mondays.
You’ll be living on-site, offering fantastic customer service while ensuring the smooth running of the park. You will be joining a friendly upbeat team. You can live in your van or in a holiday home that we provide. It’s an immediate start if you are available for that.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reception & Customer Service:
Take bookings for the Tourer Park and answer queries for both the Tourer Park and the Holiday Homeowner part of the park.
Assist prospective Holiday Home Owners by showing them around the park and discussing our Holiday Home Sales.
Provide excellent customer service to guests on the Touring Park, including providing pitching information and advice on local attractions.
Handle guest enquiries with a helpful and friendly approach. Nothing is too much trouble!
Work alongside the reception team, assisting with administrative tasks and responding to guest enquiries via digital platforms like WhatsApp.
2. Warden Duties:
Assist guests on the Touring Park with their needs, including pitching assistance and local information.
Perform evening walk-arounds of the park, checking for any issues, ensuring the park is in good condition, and replenishing supplies in the toilet blocks.
Take responsibility for on-call shifts (Saturday nights, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and alternate Monday nights), covering both the Touring Park and the Holiday Home Park, though most on-call queries are related to the Touring Park.
Duties include helping with late check-ins, maintaining park cleanliness, and handling any emergencies or queries that arise.
3. Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
Support the team with any additional duties that may arise during the season.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Previous experience working as a Warden, in a holiday park, or within the camping industry is highly desirable. But we are also open to people with a strong customer service background and love camping.
2. A strong interest in camping and outdoor leisure.
3. Excellent customer service skills - we pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming park.
4. Competency with digital systems and experience with reception duties. It’s important you are comfortable using WhatsApp and our computer systems. We are a digital savvy team. We use CampManager as the park management system.
5. Able to work both as part of a team and independently.
6. A proactive approach, able to use your initiative to solve problems and take on tasks without constant supervision.
7. Excellent multitasking skills, as we can get quite busy, especially during the summer months.
8. A team player - we’ve built a fantastic team, and teamwork is at the heart of what we do. You’ll work hard, but you’ll have plenty of fun too!
