Family Support Worker (Full Time) Leeds (LS5) £90 – £125 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) November 2024 The role Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a Primary school in Leeds to start on a Full-Time basis (37 hours). Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Family Support Worker will engage with young people and their families to co-ordinate and provide early intervention and family support, including attendance. You will also provide intensive targeted intervention to prevent breakdown of relationships with the school, young person and their family alongside other key agencies and partners i.e. Learning Mentors, SENCO, Outreach Workers, Attendance Officers, Social Care, Connexions, Youth Service and Educational Psychologist. Requirements The desired Family Support Worker will: Be a role model to all Manage a caseload as directed by the Attendance Team. Engage and consult with parents/carers of young people in school to promote early intervention, high quality parenting Keep records and appropriate documentation pertaining to any contact and work with children, young people and families. Have a DBS on the Update Service Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
