As a Registered Community nurse, you will be placed in the privileged position of caring for patients in their own individualised environment and responsible for the implementation and undertaking of patient centred care.
Our collaboration with our Integrated Community Team colleagues is something we pride ourselves on within the Forest of Dean locality. In addition, Gloucestershire Health & Care Foundation Trust Community Nurses are placed in possession of:
* Individualised development planning
* A supportive diverse management structure
* Funded university accredited courses (relevant to post in line with individual nurse’s career progression wishes and agreed upon with line management)
* Autonomy and development to manage own workload and take responsibility to manage a small caseload of patients in partnership with line manager
To excel in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, the courage to make clinical decisions and a willingness to develop your potential. Please note a full driving license and use of a vehicle for work purposes are essential for this role as a Community Nurse.
You will require current NMC registration; post-registration experience is helpful but not essential, and we have an excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses. You need to be able to work over a shift system which includes early and late shifts across 7 days including weekends and bank holidays.
