One of the UK's leading construction groups is operating across the UK. You will be joining their Highways and Infrastructure division on a major project.
Your new role
1. As a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring that resources, materials, and equipment are available at the right place and time to facilitate effective site management and due diligence.
2. Provide daily leadership and management of a section of works, including supervising and monitoring the site team and subcontractors.
3. Plan, control, and monitor the progress of the works, coordinating the allocated project sections.
4. Manage multiple work packages in collaboration with the commercial team.
5. Report progress and performance to the Site Agent/Project Manager.
6. Assist the Site Agent/Project Manager with cost forecasting, valuation, and reporting systems.
7. Ensure the site team and subcontractors are working with the latest design information.
8. Perform material take-offs as needed and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.
9. Conduct regular health and safety checks and CDM audits.
10. Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, inductions, and briefings are properly executed.
11. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and problems that may arise.
12. Ensure site team diaries are kept up to date.
13. Assist with value engineering solutions.
14. Manage direct reports and ensure they maintain appropriate competence.
15. Monitor the capability of staff and contractors to handle current and future workloads, reporting to site management.
16. Understand temporary works requirements.
17. Identify and assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
18. Contribute to creating a safe working environment.
19. Attend external meetings with clients and stakeholders as required.
20. Participate in and implement weekly and monthly site meetings.

* CSCS Card
* Strong Knowledge of CDM 15
* NEC Contract Knowledge
