The Role:
As a Care Team Leader, you will lead a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of person-centered care to all service users. You will support the day-to-day operations of the care service, assisting with the development of care plans, and ensuring that care delivery meets the highest standards. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with leadership experience in care, looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of care assistants to provide excellent care.
Support in the development and implementation of person-centered care plans for each service user.
Ensure care services are delivered in line with regulatory standards (e.g., CQC) and company policies.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained, including care plans, medication, and daily logs.
Take on shift leadership, ensuring the smooth running of the service throughout your shifts.
Provide hands-on care and support to service users as required.
Monitor and report on the progress of care plans, ensuring that service users' needs are met and goals are being achieved.
Train, develop, and support new care staff, ensuring they receive adequate induction and training.
Handle any incidents, complaints, or concerns in a calm and professional manner.
Promote a positive and respectful culture within the care team.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant in a residential or domiciliary setting.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a care environment is essential.
Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). A Level 3 qualification is preferred.
A sound knowledge of CQC regulations and health and safety standards.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, compassionate, and patient approach to care.
Ability to motivate and support a team in delivering excellent care.
A commitment to continuous professional development.
A full DBS check will be required.
A full UK driving licence is required
