Key Responsibilities: As a Private Client Partner, you will have the autonomy to shape the role, with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of private client matters, including: Estate Planning: Provide strategic advice to clients on estate planning, inheritance tax, and succession planning. Drafting Wills: Prepare and review wills tailored to the individual needs of clients, ensuring their wishes are clearly reflected. Administration of Trusts: Oversee the administration of trusts, ensuring compliance with legal obligations and safeguarding clients’ interests. Non-Contentious Probate and Administration: Handle probate matters and manage the smooth administration of estates. Lasting and Enduring Powers of Attorney: Advise clients on setting up powers of attorney, ensuring their legal and financial affairs are effectively managed. Inheritance Act Claims: Handle inheritance disputes, ensuring fair outcomes for clients while managing the complexities of litigation. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will: Have extensive experience in Private Client Law with a proven track record in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Be a natural leader, able to take ownership of the private client team, mentor junior solicitors, and contribute to the strategic direction of the department. Have excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to advise high-net-worth individuals and maintain long-term client relationships. Demonstrate technical expertise across all areas of private client law and stay up to date with relevant legislation and industry developments. Be confident in business development and proactive in expanding the firm’s client base through networking and marketing initiatives. Have a strong understanding of Inheritance Act Claims, able to handle sensitive family disputes with professionalism and empathy.
