This role is ideal for someone who wants to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential in a supportive environment.
As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will be key in providing tailored support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and feel supported in their learning journey.
Responsibilities as a Behavioural Support Assistant:
* Work closely with students who need behavioural support.
* Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour.
* Implement strategies to help students improve their social and emotional skills.
* Provide one-to-one support to students with specific needs.
* Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
* Help students develop self-confidence and resilience.
* Communicate effectively with staff and parents regarding student progress.
To be a successful Behavioural Support Assistant, you should have:
* Experience working with children or young people in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience and a passion for supporting students with behavioural needs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Previous experience working within SEN / SEMH school.
* Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
