Position Details Potential start: November, December 2024 in Slovenia Duration: 6- 9 months Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (6-months), with initial training in Slovenia (2 months – 3 months). Travel Requirement: This position is open to candidates from any location, provided they are willing to travel and stay in Northern Ireland for the duration of the assignment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct Inspections and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues using designated diagnostic tools and equipment. Conduct thorough on vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues. Perform necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and high-voltage systems. Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance services and regulatory inspections inline with the operators ops licence requirements, ensuring compliance & optimal vehicle performance. Technical Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions in real-time. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint issues accurately. Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with customers & key stakeholders to understand their concerns and provide updates on repair progress. Providing an outstanding and professional experience. Support the local operator and service partners as the subject matter expert for the eVersum e-Shuttle. Service Calls: Respond promptly & in accordance with the service level agreement to service escalations from customers or dispatchers. On-Site Repairs and Maintenance: Perform on-site repairs or maintenance at the operators depot or agreed service location, ensureing correct parts and tooling requirments are met. Vehicle Performance Enhancements: Identify opportunities for enhancing vehicle performance, efficiency, and safety. Propose and implement modifications or upgrades to address existing issues and optimize vehicle functionality. Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Provide invaluable feedback for future vehicle programs/projects. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all services performed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. Spare parts: Responsable to track the use of & replenishment of spare parts & consumables Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Travel: Travel to Maribor, Slovenia as required and for at least 2 months proir to operations begining in Belfast. Qualifications: Experience:Several years of experience in automotive repair, particularly with commercial vehicles. Certifications: NVQ Level 3, national diploma or equivelant, High Voltage training Skills: Electrial and Mechanical experience ideally in the bus industry, EV (Electric Vehicle) HV (High Voltage) experience prefered. - Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment. - Strong problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication skills for client interactions. - Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks and work in various environments.
