A bit about the role As Team Leader at our short breaks service, you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care and support children with diverse needs. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team ensuring that all staff members are effectively trained in supporting delivering personalised care plans to tailor to each child's requirements. In this role you will oversee daily operations, manage staff schedules, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will also be involved in developing and implementing individual care strategies, fostering a nurturing and safe environment, and maintaining open communication with families and external professionals. Your leadership will be vital in promoting a positive culture within the team, encouraging professional development, and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. About the service Monksfield is residential care service for disabled children with moderate to severe learning difficulties. The purpose-built bungalow features 5 bedrooms and spacious communal living and play areas. In addition to residential care, we offer a short breaks service in our Acorn unit ensuring a home from home experience. Our team collaborate with families and professionals to create tailored support packages which meet the needs of the children and young people in our care. How you'll help to create brighter futures Providing direct line management to a team of short breaks staff to deliver high standards of care. Leading shifts and supervising staff. Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes. Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people. Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments. Let's talk about you A Level 3 Social Care Diploma or equivalent Experience of leading a team within a care setting Experience in residential short breaks or children's services Experience of clear, concise record keeping via IT systems Knowledge of Ofsted requirements Understanding of GDPR, Safeguarding and relevant policies Good to know Application Process Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
