Job Purpose
To maintain and repair a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets including all building services as defined on the “Scope of Works” in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
To undertake regular planned store visits and complete PPM tasks and minor repairs requested by the Customer. The depot maintenance technician will be part of a small team based on site.
Key Accountabilities
1. Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
3. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
4. Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
6. Where plant and equipment is non-repairable, to make recommendations to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager regarding suitable replacement.
7. Advise the GM and distribution line managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the depot.
8. Assist the Site Delivery Manager in his/her duties to manage and control depot third party alliance contractors and ensure service inspection paperwork is correctly filed on site.
9. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
10. Carry out minor alterations and installations in accordance with current specifications. Also carry out all relevant testing and inspection supported with full company certification
11. Complete general repairs and maintenance to Co-op Distribution sites as designated by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager, e.g. this may include general building repairs
12. Assist City colleagues in other areas when requested to do so by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
13. Ensure all tools and equipment necessary (as per company tool list) to complete maintenance and repairs are used in the correct manner and are available and serviceable at all times.
14. Liaise with project teams on any site alterations, modernisations and other relevant works.
15. Maintain accurate Time Sheets as required
16. Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI’s
17. Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
18. Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
19. Work with company and Co-op colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
20. Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager
21. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and Co-op colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience
23. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
24. City and Guilds 7671 17th/18th Edition
25. Previous experience in building maintenance
26. Mechanical qualification is preferred
27. Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
28. Respond to service call requests within agreed timescales
29. Full Driving Licence and flexible to travel daily if required
