An established and reputable nursery in Birkenhead (CH41) is seeking to employ a Nursery Nurse from January 2025. The nursery offers exceptional early childhood education and care for children aged 1 to 4 years. With a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere, we are dedicated to laying a strong foundation for each child's growth and development.
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment for the children in our care. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated team to support learning, encourage social interaction, and promote the overall well-being of each child. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to child development will be key in providing a positive experience for both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, social, and cognitive growth.
* Provide individualised care and attention to meet each child’s unique needs.
* Foster a warm and welcoming environment, encouraging positive relationships among children, staff, and parents.
* Observe and document children’s progress, behaviour, and development.
* Maintain a safe and tidy classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Work collaboratively with team members to create and implement curriculum plans.
* Communicate effectively with parents, updating them on their child’s activities, progress, and any concerns.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
* Prior experience in a nursery or early childhood setting.
* Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* Basic first aid and safeguarding training (preferred).
