Location: Nationwide Hours: 37.5 hours per week Reporting Line: UK Head of Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Closing Date: 11 th March 2025 Job Purpose: To implement the UK strategy for DGF’s Integrated Management System (IMS) with specific focus on Quality and Environmental Management Maintain, align, and improve shared policies, processes, and resources of the IMS’ in-scope management systems Promote awareness of quality and environmental management in line with organisational vision, priorities, and strategy (e.g. Sustainability strategy) Ensure DGFUK ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications are retained and meet customer and management expectations including those pertaining to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Promote excellent service quality that is aligned with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities: IMS/QE Implementation & Awareness Align UK Quality & ESG priorities with those of global IMS/QE and regional management. Guide and support UK Quality & ESG related implementations and initiatives. Provide management and relevant stakeholders with regular status toward agreed priorities and overall effectiveness of IMS, including risks and opportunities to improve Monitor and ensure consistent adherence to DGF, quality (e.g. ISO) and environmental standards as well as Corporate Sustainability priorities B uild and support organisational knowledge of the IMS and Q&E management systems including the related ISO standards and business processes. Work with UK H&S Manager to implement UK IMS programme. IMS Framework & Resources Lead local implementation and maintenance of DGF IMS and Quality & Environmental Management framework. Document and maintain IMS/QE supporting/related content. Identify, document, and promote Best Practices within UK Stations. Promote consistent and correct adherence to IMS/QE standards throughout DGF UK. Support global DGF IMS platform and tools (e.g. MATRIX, eShare) Certification & Customer/Sales Support Support preservation and expansion of certifications for agreed standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001) Promote visibility of DGF certification with both internal stakeholders and external parties Support sales process with inputs needed to respond to IMS/QE related customer requests (e.g. RFQ, RFI, Quality Agreements) Audits Management Facilitate and/or support internal QE related audits aligned to business critical priorities Support implementation and closure of audit related non-conformities Provide audit outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders Support external audit (e.g. certification, customer, regulatory) activities (e.g. planning, preparation, resolution) as needed Business Support Continuously identify, monitor, and assess risks and opportunities which impact service quality and related management systems. Identify, support, and implement actions to address risks and opportunities related to operational policies and processes, quality of services, environment efforts, and conformance to requirements. Drive UK implementation of the corporate internal risk management program (OPS ICS) through stakeholder management, station facilitation, and monitoring of compliance. Liaise with external vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the organisation's quality and environmental standards as required. Specific Technical Requirements 5 years forwarding and logistics 2 years in Quality management 2 years Environment management 2 years Audit Management Educated to Degree level preferred ideally related to either business or environmental management An auditing background within the realms of ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) would be beneficial but not necessarily a prerequisite.
